Soto. Sparked By Nature.
Since 1992 – SOTO (which is translated from the Japanese for “outdoors”) has been creating some of the best stoves in the world, and innovating burner technology.
However, their history started back in 1978 when SOTO’s parent company, Shinfuji Burner Company, began manufacturing and engineering industrial burners. Founded by Hajime Yamamoto with the goal of creating products that produce the maximum sustainable flame in the least amount of time; Shinfuji set about generating and integrating “Blue Flame” technology into their products. A blue flame occurs when the fuel combustion is extremely efficient and hot.
Realising the wide-ranging uses for their technology Shinfuji expanded into other areas outside of industrial and agricultural use. Eventually, SOTO was formed to cater for the outdoor market.
To this day they remain managed and run by the Yamamoto family. Now nearly half of the devices manufactured by Shinfuji are inspired by extreme weather conditions and are made of hand-selected materials. Decades of experience, the highest safety and technical standards, and careful safety inspections are behind every innovative product.
