George and James were at Oxfordshire Scouting’s County Awards Day on Saturday 10th May to promote the upcoming expedition to climb the 5,817m Baden-Powell Peak in Nepal in April 2016 – We received a visit from Bear Grylls!
During the day they spoke to leaders, parents and potential participants explaining about the expedition and showing maps and photos of the locations that they could be visiting.
They also received a visit from Bear Grylls, UK Chief Scout, while he was on a tour of Scouting events in the South of England.
Bear stopped to talk to George for a few minutes to find out where the group would be going on their adventure. He also signed a good luck note to the team.
